Imaging Tiny Critters with your Smartphone Made Easy

By Tobias Friedrich

Capturing nudibranchs and other small sea creatures for their delicate details and textures can appear difficult, but it's actually easy: Move slowly and steadily with your SportDiver housing or camera, getting as close as possible while avoiding disturbing it or kicking up sediment that could blur the image. Light the image from the side or above to bring out the nudi’s vivid and intricate patterns. Shoot from a low profile angle to help emphasize a more three-dimensional shape.

Equipment: iPhone 16 Pro Max in a SeaLife SportDiver Ultra housing,1x iPhone lens with one SeaDragon 3000F Color Boost Photo-Video light, SportDiver Lens Adapter & SeaLife +6 macro lens.
