Stay Close and Low When You're Near the Bottom
By Tobias Friedrich
Always stay and shoot from a low position when capturing little creatures that live close to the seafloor like this huge hermit crab. You can carefully place the camera low or on the sand floor below the subject, and create an elevated perspective that makes the audience feel like they are eye-level with animal. Take care not to stir up sand or debris when you're close to the bottom.
