Get Closer, while keeping Surrounding Sea Life in the Frame

By Tobias Friedrich

To get the best close-up of a subject and its surroundings, choose the phone's ultra-wide lens or the 6”/15cm Wide Angle Dome Lens for for the SportDiver housing to create large wide-angle images. Find an angle to separate the subject from the background, in this case a Catshark egg, which should be visible as the focal point of the image. A lot of light was necessary to take this image in almost 130'/40m depth, which is why two Sea Dragon 5000F color boost dive-video lights were used to illuminate the Catshark egg and the corals around it.

Equipment: iPhone 16 Pro Max in a SeaLife SportDiver Ultra housing, 0.5x iPhone lens with Sea Dragon Duo 10K+ Color Boost Photo-Video lights.
