How to Capture Fast Moving Subjects in Action

By Tobias Friedrich

When sea animals are swimming fast like this Sardine Run in Mexico, it may be challenging to take photos of the intended subject. Remember to not press the shutter button blindly. You want to wait for situations within the movement, like these hunting Sea Lions, to frame the picture well. This process will allow you to create more engaging photos than simply aiming the lens at the action.

Equipment: iPhone 16 Pro Max in a SeaLife SportDiver Ultra housing, 0.5x iPhone lens.
