Adding Composition and Contrast to your Images

By Tobias Friedrich

Rays create nice silhouettes to photograph from below due to their unique body shapes. However, they often sit on the ocean floor and rest. Use this opportunity to approach the stingray slowly, centering your shot from slightly above, and keeping some blue water in the background. The center position is great way to frame your subject with good contrast, especially on white sand.
