Best Contrast in Underwater Images

Contrasts in color (color theory) are especially important in underwater photography. When scouting for sea creatures and subjects, you want to take advantage of the bright colors like yellow or orange that will contrast nicely with the blue water. For example, a silver or an orange fish in front of red and purple corals would pop colorfully against a green or turquoise water background.
