Simple & Engaging Sea Turtle Images

By Tobias Friedrich

Want to capture a great photo or video of a sea turtle? Here are a few guidelines: Don't shoot a fish or animal image from the back; it’s okay to shoot from the side or head-on. Take photos from below: Rather than taking the image from above, take your photo from below while the turtle is swimming, or above the reef where it’s separated by blue water. Remember: Be calm and wait for the turtle to make eye contact with you or the camera; this makes your image more engaging and personal.

Equipment: iPhone 16 Pro Max in a SeaLife SportDiver Ultra housing, 1x iPhone lens with a SportDiver 52mm Wide Angle Lens, a SportDiver Lens Adapter, and Sea Dragon 6000 Duo Color Boost Set.
