Boat Diving - Bonaire offers divers a great opportunity to dive sites close to shore and on Klein Bonaire. Boat diving with Buddy Dive lets the diver explore the beautiful underwater world under the guidance of one of our experienced dive staff members. Buddy Dive Resort guests can enjoy morning, afternoon, and evening boat trips on one of our six boats. Our boats are all fully equipped for a boat dive trip on Bonaire.
Shore Diving - With as many as 60 officially listed dive sites on Bonaire, most of them easily accessible from shore, the island is known as the Shore Diving Capital of the World!
Bonaire’s sea abounds with beautiful marine life and a fascinating variety of multi-colored tropical fish, there is lots to see while diving on Bonaire. The sea is remarkably calm and conditions are superb for both scuba diving and snorkeling.
On average, while diving on Bonaire, the visibility exceeds 100 feet (30 meters) and our average water temperature is 80 degrees Fahrenheit (28°C). The fringing reef begins close to the shore, usually a short 30 feet (10 meters) swim or less, making Bonaire world-renowned for its ease of shore diving.
Bonaire’s waters offer something special for every diver. Novice divers will appreciate the calm waters, reefs that run parallel to shore, and minimal currents while diving on Bonaire. These conditions make it an ideal location to really work on improving those buoyancy skills! The shallow drop-off area of the reef slope with an abundance of marine life, allows a maximum bottom time while giving new divers an opportunity to develop a level of comfort and confidence in their newly learned skills.
To help us keep our reefs healthy for many years to come, we do encourage all divers traveling to Bonaire to familiarize themselves with the Marine Park regulations prior to their visit.

Buddy Dive Resort is a full-service dive resort that is ideally located and has all facilities you need for your perfect dive vacation. Booking our Drive & Dive package ensures you to enjoy the 60 beautiful shore dive sites of Bonaire in the best way. Drive your truck (that comes with your package) through the Drive-Thru filling station to easily pick up your tanks. With this package, you can use as many air or Nitrox tanks as you want. Right in front of the dock, you find Buddy’s Reef. The 24/7 accessible house reef is a great dive during the day and at night. With rinse tanks, a shower, gear rental, and a retail shop right there on the dock, great diving is guaranteed. Our complete Drive & Dive packages include accommodation, daily breakfast buffet, airport transfers, shore diving with unlimited air and nitrox.
Rooms: Each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, spacious living area with cable TV, patio or balcony, air-conditioned bedrooms with each its own bathroom with shower. The studio has a small kitchen, separate bedroom with air-conditioning and a bathroom/shower. They also have cable TV and a small patio. All apartments and studios have a room safe, with no extra charge, to store valuables.
